SKATEBOARDERS WHO MAKE FILMS!!!
Underskatement is looking for submissions for its 10th anniversary program.
Underskatement is a skater-run internationally touring film festival featuring the best (and shortest) in skater-made films. Underskatement will kick off our 2011-2012 tour with a premiere in San Francisco this November.
As in skateboarding, there are no rules as to what you can create. Underskatement is not a skateboard video and although we do feature some skate shorts, our programs have included narratives, documentaries, music videos, experimental shorts, sketch comedies, political commentaries, satires, animation and the occasional horror film.
We have no “academy”, no Oscars and no entry fee. Underskatement is not a contest, but an art show curated by a few skateboarders who enjoy creativity. If you think your film is awesome, chances are we will too.
The program runs approximately 90 minutes, so we prefer entries under 5 minutes in length to maximize how many we can include. Multiple entries are always welcome.
